Machinery insurance is intended for the insuring of different machines used in construction, agriculture, forestry or road building, as well as other machines. Although such machines differ from regular automobiles, they still need protection against similar risks.
A machine may be damaged due to a fire, storm or other natural disaster; a machine moving on the road under its own power is in danger of getting into a traffic accident, it may be broken into and the owner may lose his/her property in case a machine is stolen or robbed.
Seesam offers the opportunity to insure such machines against fire, storm, vandalism, and robbery, as well as the risk of various external and internal events. To do so, we offer three different possibilities:
- semi-comprehensive insurance
- machinery insurance
- extended machinery insurance
Semi-comprehensive insurance covers the basic risk factors for a machine that does not participate in traffic or does so rarely. Semi-comprehensive insurance offers protection against damage caused by fire, storm, vandalism, theft, robbery or break-in.
Machinery insurance compensates for the damage caused by fire, storm, vandalism, theft, robbery or break-in as well as the damage by an external event. External events may be a traffic accident, driving off of the road, natural disasters like flooding, and additionally, damage caused during the loading or transporting of the machine.
Extended machinery insurance is full risk insurance. In addition to the abovementioned risks, the working machine is equally insured against damage caused by sudden and unforeseen internal events.
In addition to the machine itself, the machinery insurance offered by Seesam also provides for insurance protection of up to EEK 30 000 for various additional accessories and equipment disconnected from the machine, such as a shovel loader, ploughshare, etc.
In the case of an insured event – in addition to the property damage – we compensate for the expenses paid for avoiding or diminishing the damage, as well as the lifting and transporting of the machine to a repair shop, in the amount of up to EEK 150 000.
